Driver Glove Box?

I saw a interior pic of a newer CI and it looks like there is some type of box (like the glove box) just above the drivers left knee. Anyone know what i'm talking about? Wondering what it is.

in Mercedes, it might be similar to a cupholder... but in a 3 series?!

It is a drivers side glove box available on Euro models, from what I understand North American BMW's do not have it due to dash padding. Pretty small, not like you can put much in it. BTW, that is a NICE wood interior in that car though. Hope I helped with the mystery of the glove box.

Yes it is a glove box and also gives you a easy access to under dash relays.

i'm not all for wood trim myself, but the darker would be better if i had to choose. That wood seriously looks like nacho cheese haha.
