Does anyone know how to clear a brake pad warning?

One final question. My 1994 540i has a brake pad warning light message on. I checked the pads and they still have plenty of friction material. The sensor on the left front pad is still in tact and all the connectors seem to be in good shape. The wires also look fine. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the repair?

Thank you.

The driver's side front has the pad sensor. I checked the dr side rear and no sensor. Do you know if there is one on the pass side? Doesn't make sense to put them on different sides, but you never know.

There should be a pad sensor somewhere, just 2 wires that go to a little sensor in between the caliper (they attach to the pad itself). If the wire is not there, but the connector for it IS (should be attached to the strut)... then either buy a wear sensor, or do what I do and get a piece of wire and put them in each connector for the sensor. It will just create the ground it needs, so no light!

Are there pad sensors on both the front and rear calipers?
On the E46 there is one on each axil. So two total. I can't remember if it's drivers side or pasenger side. I stopped replacing them, I think they're redundant, cuz you still get a squeak from the pad when it's low.
