Just out of sheer curiosity, I was wondering, do you all name your cars? Do you talk to them after they do something really good to you? Both? Neither? I was just trying to gauge how human everyone else sees their car, or if I am just a nut, lol.

I don't do either for my car. I used to talk to my old Civic, but that's cuz she needed encouragement on occasions (like going up a hill or merging on the freeway). I'd pet and stroke the dashboard too. I guess I have patted the dashboard on the BMW once or twice but she doesn't need any encouragement and I'm usually just hanging on to the steering wheel.

LOL I think I will name her Nadja. I even pat her rear on occasion, like a good luck sort of thing, before I go out for a drive. Like that WWII submarine movie, where the crew would always pat the poster of Marylin Monroe before going to battlestations, I guess lol...[;)]

My girls name is "Pearl" and she is the best
I drive her hard but not to excess
She is faithful I know
cause she ain't no "ho"
and the subs crews pat Greta Garbo not Marilyn Monroe

You've asked this before. (twice?) Don't worry-it's O.K. if you've named your car! You can even talk to it if you like! I'd stop there though if that helps you. But I must admit I pat Her and thank Her every night after I shut Her down. ( Good /safe ride and all )

I call mine "The best car I've ever owned". [:D]

My other cars (non-BMWs) I called... well, let's just say there were a lot of profanities involved (and thoughts of them going off a bridge and exploding).

Looking for prey she is always on the hunt,
She paves my way and is continually out in front.
Deep is her passion, never letting me down,
Chirps ‘em in third when cruising around town.
There are countless, and you may have one of many,
But she is all mine, with her I shall not lose, ‘cuz she is my. . . Destiny.
