There is a discussion on the BMW CCA Puget Sound website regarding this old racetrack and where it is. A member posted these and I assume will provide an answer in the future. They are really cool photos and the banking on this is awesome.

Wow. Cool! Gotta be in the West/Soutwest with that kind of vegetation. I'd rule out the whole Eastern US...assuming it's in the US. Guy in the picture looks like a good taxpaying American with a CO beer shirt.

Guess #1 = Texas
Guess #2 = New Mexico

I think I know where it is... A very historic track indeed... Is that you Big Daddy in the M Roadster? [hihi]

If you look closely at the picture you'll see some clues...

Let's buy it and restore it and make it into the official BMWBoard racetrack. [headbang]
If it's where I think it is, you'll have to have REALLY deep pockets and compete with Daimler-Chrylser.

Ah-Ha. By the looks of the steering wheel and the license plate, I am betting that this man is having a jolly good time. Or he might be ready to have a Fosters with his mate [:D]

No it's not me Kirby, but your on the right "track".
Dan, I was on the right side of the pond, but the wrong country! I was guessing that it was Brooklands in Surrey, England. It's amazing how much these two tracks look alike.

There is a huge effort to save what is left of the Brooklands, headed by the infamous Stirling Moss. Daimler Chysler UK has announced that they will invest a ton of money in a museum.

It's a big club destination, rally point, etc.
