Wellllllllllll,
After I ordered this product I posted this thread.... Once I read Jordan's comment I decided to do a little more research. I ended up finding out that the Federal Trade Commision busted the company for false advertising. Damn!!!
I talked with all of the local motor heads including my mechanic and they unanimously agreed that Zmax was probably Snake Oil....
So I decided to cancel the shipment, by the time I called the company it was too late. With some hope I tried to find any information that would justify my purchase, and I did.
I found out that at the time the FTC cracked down on Zmax they were actually cracking down on all of the companies selling engine additives. Zmax was the only company that put up a fight, and they won. They did have to stop advertising percentages, in relation to mileage performance, but because of their test results they are allowed to make the claims:
zMAX soaks into metal.
zMAX reduces friction.
zMAX increases horsepower.
zMAX dissipates engine heat.
zMAX helps to improve or restore gas mileage and reduce emissions in older cars, by virtue of reducing engine deposits.
zMAX helps to maintain gas mileage and emissions in newer cars, by virtue of reducing engine deposits.
zMAX helps to reduce engine wear on engine valve-stems and guides and piston rings and skirts, by virtue of reducing engine deposits.
zMAX helps to extend engine life, by virtue of reducing engine deposits.
So I figure I have nothing to lose and I will post the results.
