My front tires on my 98' 528i are "cupping" on the inside. One tire shop says it is alignment the other says I have bad struts. Can struts go bad after 57K miles? How do you tell their bad if no visable leaking? Just got new tires and don't want to ruin these. How much would it be for new struts? Any thoughts would be apprecaited.

It could be just alignment, especially since it's only on the inside. But bad struts will also cause cupping. In a sense both shops MAY be right. Try the alignment first AND rotate the tires front to back. If the cupping continues, new struts are in order. They should last a bit longer than 57K but they do go bad.
