1- Trying to find out where my car was built according to my VIN. I've got different answers accoding to different websites. The "plant letter" in my VIN is F. I've read that it's Dingolfing and Munich, anyone know the right answer?

2- My car is still under original warrenty and just wondering how it works if i wanted to take it in for an oil change. Would i have to pay?

Thanks for any info...

Hi

Most new BMW are manufactured in Regensburg.

You can just go to the dealer for a oil change and Im not shure if it is included in the full maintanance program. I would recommend a special Independent BMW service for satisfaction. Even if you have to pay from your pocket.

Regensburg is usually just the coupes.

For oil change, every time you start up the car, the computer should tell you how many miles you have til your next scheduled oil change. Once it hits 100 miles to go, call up your dealer and schedule a change. If you wanna take it in early, you can but you'll have to pay for it yourself. Just remind them not to reset the oil change computer so you still get your free change at the proper interval. Or, just change it yourself.

Thanks. My computer reading says it's 5965 to go, so when it gets down it will still be covered by the dealer to get it changed?
The original warrenty goes until next august and then the "certified series" warrenty kicks in. Are the oil changes still covered under the extended warrenty?
