the 7 series still carries bangles hand writing pretty much. at least in my books. the big trunk lid, the wheels...the overall bodyline. all bangle style.
for the station wagon, i love it. it is really good looking and so stylish [thumb]

I really like the 997 body style ! it was wise of Porsche to get out of the Boxter headlights on the 911 imo, plus it is widely thought that the 993 was far prettier than the 996. At least Porsche is listening to the "sport" consumer rumblings.

If BMW stays course we will see mainly softie old guys wanting something like a Lincoln Towncar buying Bimmers, hey if this is good for BMW....go for it !! I too will look at Porsche, Audi etc..

I was just reading the latest issue of Autoweek. There is an extensive review of the 997. I always LOVED the wide rear fender flares on the earlier 911s, and they have brought back that styling. For $69K, you get 320 hp, 0-60 in 4.8 sec. The same issue has a brief note that the M5 will be $90K. WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

I really want to see a new ///M Roadster, but if it comes in at $60K, I would think real hard about the 997.

I love porsches. If bmw keeps up the nasty designs, and if I get a decent job... i'm keeping an old bmw to restore and do an engine swap - and have it parked next to my porsche.

With the look of things, my next car will not be BMW. The Audi A6 and A8 really look good to me, but not as good as my E39. It's a pity. I have always loved BMW's.
