not sure if this has been talked about, but BMW installs a CDV on a TON of their cars. e36, e39, e46, etc etc
anywho, this valve essentially limits how fast your clutch can move. sure thats good for idiots, but for people who can drive its bad news. when you accelerate hard it slips the clutch a lot.
i took mine out this morning and my car feels a LOT better. feels like a real car (even though i still have a dual-mass flywheel, which is totally lame) but yeah, it was an easy deal. for most cars listed on this one website i found (cant' remember the name of it) you could just removed the valve entirely, but for some you the tube connected the valve is metal and not rubber and you can't just screw it in, for those you can either get a "worked" cdv, or just get a drill and drill out the narrow spot of your cdv.
