CD Magazine is stuck

Anyone know how you get the 6 CD magazine out when it is stuck in the CD player? The display on the front panel says "No Magazine" and the eject button in the trunk will not eject the magazine. I have since replaced the CD player but I would at least like to salvage the magazine and my CD's. The car is a 2001 Z3.

If the changer does not eject the magazine, I suggest somehow manually opening it up. Use your bare hands, or any tools that will do the job.
