CD just stopped

Weirdest thing happened today, i was playing a cd and after switching to a different song it just stopped playing and none of the buttons worked. The display didn't show anything and the only button that would show up on the screen when pressed was the "m" button but still no music. The eject button wouldn't even work to get the cd out. I turned off the car and turned it back on and still nothing. I tried switching from the radio to cd but it was like it wasn't reading it or something (it is a cd-r) and i've never had a problem. So i went to lunch and hoped it would work when i started the car again, as i was beginning to freak out. I restarted the car and it started playing! Not sure what happened, but it was weird how nothing was working and it wouldn't even eject it. Maybe it needed some time and reset something. Thought i would share.

Sometimes that can happen and I believe it's due to the CD-R. In our ML500, I once ejected the navigation CD and inserted a CD-R and the system didn't accept it and it totally froze it up. I tried turning it on and off, waiting a few minutes, and then turning it on and off. But the system was just like frozen and none of the buttons were responding. Finally, I had to disconnect the battery for a few minutes so that everything would reset and then I connected the battery and started it up and it finally ejected the disc. CD-R's do weird stuff sometimes.

your car has the windows bug!! nothing like the blue screen of death, or having your app/cd player frozen.

maybe the OS for the electronics in the car is made by microsoft.. a hard reset via disconnecting the battery to get the dumb computer back in working order!?

one thing i noticed is the color of your cd-r. medium blue doesn't play on my discman, but black and silver do.
