CD Changer wont work

This just happened all of a sudden. I have a 94 318 with the stock Cd changer. When I push the "BAND" button I used to get FM, AM the CD. Now it just has the FM and AM and no option for the CD Changer. Like I said this just happend while drving the car, what could cause this? Thanks

Perhaps it lost the connection the CD changer and the head unit thinks there is no more CD changer anymore, so it automatically skips the option.
