List ?????????????

I loved the list because my father just bought the 300C with the Hemi. His head will be nice and large [:p] when I show him.

Now, I would not trade my BMW for one, but I do have to admit that car has INSANE power... [rofl]

I think this article is just a paid avertisement. Why would they talk about the John Cooper Works package for the MINI Cooper S? That's almost as random as talking about a heated seats option or something.

For the most part I agree with the list. My only beef is with the Mini. Over 31k for a loaded pumped-up golf cart is silly, unless your a little person or head to the track (or course) a lot. But, to each his own. I think the list is far from complete, they just highlighted a few new(er) cars. My list would also include 5/7 series, X5s, Navigator, just to name a few.

I was just thinking that a car showing you have “arrived” would be a measure of wealth and status by means of a car. Not to say that the list does not include nice cars because it does, it’s just that there are others that I would think demonstrate this better than the 300. What about the 5 series, 7 series, M series, mid to upper MB, and other similar. These should sure bump some off the list (i.e. Dodge, 300, Cad).

These are not car which say "you have arrived". More like make a statement. I believe that cars are an extension of your personality.

I would also make a few comments about the cars but I think I better not. The whole thing does sound like a commercial or something, I mean they are talking about different features in cars, who cares about that? They don't even point out the main idea of the article, how people see you when you drive either car. Why didn't they include the Z8? That would certainly be an interesting thing to read.

I think 'you have arrived' is more that you finally have grown up, have some taste, and finally make enough to afford a nice new car. The vehicles they posted are all over 30K and require a decent wage to pay for (all while supporting yourself and a home while being able to save money). All the vehicles are a little different than the rest of the pack and that's what makes the statement. Like I said before, I don't think this is nearly a complete list, as there are 100's of cars that say "I have arrived". This is one guy's opinion.
