Hi everyone, I'm looking to purchase a certified used BMW Z3, and I've been searching a few BMW dealerships in NJ. I'm going to check the VIN numbers for the cars I'm interested in, and I was wondering if carfax, autocheck, etc. are all the same, or does any one car checking service perform better than the rest. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on making my purchase by the 31st to take advantage of the lower interest rate that BMW is offering. Thanks, Midtownkoi

I am not sure if CPO is guarenteed to be accident free, however I can guarentee you that Carfax or Autocheck can only inform you if they have the true facts. For example I know an M3 owner who's car was rearended and the damage was so bad you could reach into the trunk with it closed. He never reported the accident to anyone and his car is Carfax clean (certified). Knowing what I know and saw I would not p ay his low book for the car. Run a Carfax, but have the vehicle checked by a trustworthy independent
