That doesn't appear to be a valid VIN, but from the first few characters (JHLRD18) it looks like its from a Honda.

If you have a valid VIN, you can do a quick search on carfax and it will tell you the make, model, year and engine type.

its the 10th digit:

0=2000

for cars using a letter and not a number, A=1980...Z=1999, but some letters are not used, mostly those that look somewhat like numbers

An easy check on the VIN can be done at KBB.com (Kelly Blue Book). VIN numbers follow some logic. Poboyis is right about the 10th digit being the year. The first digits are a manufacturers code with the region (country) of origin typically the first digit. J=Japan. W=Western Europe. JH is Japan Honda. JT is Japan Toyota. WP is PORSCHE!!!

The VIN you entered is not a valid VIN. I would avoid this car!
