buzz noise from front door speaker area

I have a 04 330ci with the Harmon Kardon system. I have a buzz in both speakers when certain types of music sounds go on the radio or a cd. Is anyone getting a similar effect. Also the buzz does not happed all the time. Any help would be great

i've noticed that too on some songs but not others. mine is only on the driver's side. i was worried i already blew a speaker when testing out the power of the system...but just today i cranked it on one song and it sounded great and there wasn't any distortion. not sure what the deal is either, cheap speakers?...is that possible with an hk system? i have a two month old '04 330i.

I went to a Tweeter store and they have no idea what it is unless they take the entire system apart but, they did think there was something wrong with the a component.

it could be when certain bass frequincies hit, it rattles the speaker.

Or you blew the speakers. But i doubt that happened since it was only on certain songs. Try listening closely to the songs that give you the trouble. And see where it does it.

it definately is only on certain bass frequencys and today I took it to BMW and they are going to order a new amp and two new front speakers to start. Hopefully they find it and if it is a vibration the stop it somehow

Ya, the new speakers should fix your problem. But if that doesen't work then you'll need to fix some of the trim and plastic around your mounting hole. Maybe that was your problem in the first place?

i have a similar problem..... i have a 97 528i and i get a buzzing sound from my right front door speaker when i turn my lights on... what would that be?

i have a 3 day old 2004 330ci and i have noticed the buzz on some certain frequencies. for example, biggie (lots of bass and does fine) but radiohead (certain songs) make a buzz. thoughts???

Try putting some foam between the speaker and the plastic covering it. ....that's what I need to do with the sub in my Z3.

I am pretty positive it has to do with the bass, some songs the bass is too much , or if it is a burned cd , the bass might not be a good quality which makes the speakers sound ugly, especially if they are just stock, if you have aftermarket speakers which can handle alot of bass it would sound cleaner. It also depends on the type of music, like alternative or easy listening songs sound fine , even with the volume all the way up, but with some rap songs the bass gets to be too much for the speaker at times

i have the same problem and i also have a 2004 330ci witht he HK system. THis is kinda bugging me so what is the resolution?
