Anyone know of any places or companies that buy old BMW's for a relatively good price? I have a '97 328is that is still my daily driver, but needs a decent amount of work. The engine's fine, and the body still looks good and is straight, but it has some electrical and steering issues. I want to buy a new car from an individual, so I can't trade it in, plus I probably wouldn't get much anyway.

I'd put an ad in the paper with a fair bluebook price. There is a good market for used bimmers especially with younger people. I doubt you'll have trouble selling it in San Diego. If it doesn't work you're only out a little money for a newspaper ad.
I think if you try to sell it to some "company" you'll get less for it since they are going to have to sell it eventually. I guess you could ask a local used car dealer...
