No comments about the (VERY) dirty car, shitty camera, or rusty exhaust [rofl]

Hankook Ventus RS-2 Z212's (Already drove on them in a friend's 325i. I can STRONGLY reccomend these to ANYONE who thinks $230+ for PS2's is stupid... except for wet performance, these tires are amazing. We've been putting hankook's on our family cars for a while, and I believe we will continue to do so!)

235/40/17 all around (instead of OEM 225/45/17 front 245/40/17 rear)

Funny, I got home and checked and they had both rear wheels on the passenger side of the car, both fronts on the drivers side. I was really pissed off, took it back, and they were real apologetic about it. I stayed in the garage and talked to some of the guys, and as it turns out, the manager said he has been a BMWCCA member for years, and that he owns a 92 535i. He said he is looking into trying to do a BMWCCA tech session (at the tire place.) I definitely feel much more comfortable with them working on my car knowing that... the mistake with the tires bothered me, but I can understand it. Otherwise they did a good job, no bent/scratched rims, put wheel weights on the inside of the wheel, etc. Have 15 miles on these tires so far and already I'm fu*king impressed! Can't wait for 100 miles from now. [headbang]

I just got new shoes too. Michelin PS2's. Got them for $170 each shipped.

I'm not super impressed tho. They're fine, but I think my OE Dunlop tires handled better. Plus, I prolly coulda hit 30,000 miles on them (stupid nail). Everyone's telling me I'll be lucky to hit 20,000 with the PS2s.

I have had my pilots since I got my car, I have been able to get almost 25,000 miles on them but now they are worn out to the flat.... I have to buy new tires this week but this time Im going with the Good Year F1 GS-D3 whih I have heard are the best in wet weather for their price.... but anyways, good find on the Hankook tires, I have heard lots of good things about them.

Looks nice Eric, I have heard pretty good things about Hankook. Some of the Autocross guys run Hankooks.

The Pirelli PZeros on the 325 have maybe another 1K - 3K left on them, getting a total barely 20K miles. I was hoping to do a little closer to 25K. Not sure what I will replace them with, but Hankooks are a possibility.

i'm a bridgestone guy.... who runs yokohamas cause he's broke (for the last time though, after this set no more yoko's)
Hm, all yokomaha's i've seen cost way too much... if I'm going to spend that much, I will buy GS-D3's.

Kirby - got to test these in the rain yesterday. Not sure about hydroplaning resistance, but by looking at the tread pattern, I am going to assume there IS no hydroplaning resistance.

But, otherwise they are, dare I say it, good in the rain...so far. As long as you keep them within the limits of adhesion, they are grippy. The problem is, the second they step out or slip, it's a hard recovery. I really hope these tires become more and more popular so hankook can develop even better tires. I knew what these tires were like before buying them, and after feeling them on my car with about 120 miles so far I am still a strong advocate.

Yeah I am getting new shoes (and socks too!) for my car this week. I just sold my old rims(yeah the ugly ones...LOL) and did some shopping around and I think I am going to go with
Vredesteins(Holland)...the visual quality seems to be good and the price is ok (170euro/ea for the front and 160euro/ea for the back.....235/35 ZR 19 FRONT, 265/30 BACK...).
One of my major reasons for going with them is the fact that they are readily available in the sizes I want AND they will be all of the same brand. It is fairly common in Germany to have two different brand tires on your car if you have the two different sizes(I wanted Pirelli Pzero's but I cant justify the price...)
Here is a pic of the tread pattern...Vredestein Ultracs

What size and where?

I had Bridgestone Potenza poleposition SO3's. By far my favorite summer tire. Unfortunately I moved back to St. Louis and the terrile weather forced me into All Season tires. I now run Toyo Proxes 4. It's a all season tire. It's good, but just for an all season tire.

225/45 17" Stock for my 325Ci. Apparently they came from America's Tire/Discount Tire. My buddy down in LA ordered them for me. I just sent him the check for the tires and he's supposed to e-mail me the contact where he ordered them from so I can do it on my own from now on. As soon as he does it, I'll let you know.
