I Have Owned My 330 Convertible For Over Two Years And Have Never Had Such A Wonderful Automobile. Having Said That I Will Never Buy Another Because Of The Service. I Bot It New In '02 From Harloff Bmw In Encinitas, Ca. The Day I Bot It Was The Only Time That They Treated Me Like A Good Customer. I Am Told By Other Owners Whom I Know That Their Experience With Bmw Service Has Been Less Than Satisfactory.

My Major Complaint Has Been With My Squeaky Brakes. After Several Trips To Them To Address The Problem, They Were Finally Able To Reproduce The Problem And "fix' It. After The "fix" The Problem Was Unchanged.

I Was Told By Them That The Factory Will Not Pay To Have Certain Work Performed And The Dealership Would Have To Foot The Bill. It Seems To Me That Both The Factory And The Dealership Have More Interest In Profits Than Satisfied Customers.

Service is wonderful at...

I'm very pleased with the service a Brecht BMW of Escondido. Julie, service writer, is top notch [rofl] They are very accomodating. I brought my car in for a few concerns and they promptly made the needed repairs/adjustments and even gave me a loaner car at no charge.

I delt one time with Harloff on the phone, that was enough! [bash]

I do my own work on my car for two reasons: one, it saves me A LOT of money, and two, just so i don't have to deal with people at the dealership. The only time i ever have to see them is for an ocasional parts order.

Wait, did I hear you right? You took a car that was over 2 years old to the dealership because of squeaky brakes? Numerous times? Is this a joke?

Too bad that you "bot" a BMW. It seems like you should have bought a pair of Pampers instead.

i do all the repairs on my car myself, much cheaper, no worries about giving the dealership tons of money (and better for a continuous problem like "squeeky" brakes than to give it to the dealership numerous times)

Contacting BMW North America is useless. Only way to get better service is to try another dealer.

Billydal: Did you try another dealer? Your way of typing suggests to me you're likely not all that old and may not have too much experience with cars other than what you see your parents do.

i do my own work as well. but there was a time i had to take mine to the dealership, or when i go there to get parts, and the service is outstanding imo. you probably just found one of few bad dealerships.
