BMW Individual?

What is this "BMW Individual" thing I've been hearing about??

It's an option that BMW offers to allow you to choose custom interior and exterior colors, possibly other options as well. Unfortunately, it's not available in the States.

If you're dealer is nice enough, you can get the options generally. Still, it requires a sales guy willing to play around with the computer and if you have the option numbers ready for them, it helps a lot and shows your seriousness (along with a fat deposit, typically non-refundable in this case).

BMW Individual doesn't have option numbers. Yes, you can get a LOT of options (I think I could choose more than 100; check a European BMW site, such as the British one) but Individual means that you can go to your dealer with a colour stale or some kind of material for a seat and they'll make it for you. Options are almost unlimited this way. They offered me a brochure with a couple of examples, and yes it's very individual, most of the time very nice and always expensive!

Sounds like something you should consider doing if you're going to get a car via European Delivery! Might as well personalize it to your tastes, although I'm pretty happy with the options available now in the states. At least it was easy for me to do a trim changout!

@dutch, sorry but i doubt that you can have BMW make a seat with a certain and very specific leather that you decide and they do not already have it in program.

the individual program is only an extended choice of interiour and exteriour colors, materials and styles. but all of them are already in BMW´s program. check

You have a huge number of combinations and so on, but they will not invent a new seat for you or use a new material you want to.

Well, you got me doubting right now. I checked the site and I believe my dealer told me there were much more options than shown on the site. I guess if you pay enough.....The brochure shows examples that are different from the options listed on the site. Oh and I didn't mean inventing a new seat, 'just' (cool enough though) different leather types or alcantara.
If the ship with money comes in, guess what my next car is going to be.....a nice Individual BMW.

People from Canada and South Korea that have Individual cars say it's pretty much just extra options in interior trim. You can choose from more colors that BMW offers, be it leather or wood trim or whatever. Never mentioned anything about giving BMW a swatch of color to match.
