Your right, not on the website, but I see a commercial for the 750 nearly every morning on CNBC.
Drove past a dealer in the western burbs yesterday and noticed a silver 750Li sitting out front on a median. It had some new style wheels too, kind of ugly ones though...

These face-lifted 7's look sooo much better but I think there is too much emphasis on the headlights. Too many car manufacturers are making such a big deal out of their headlights and tail lights now...it's like they build a set of tail lights or headlights, and then build a car around them.

They need to leave the OLD rims on the car, BMW sure is going to extraordinary lengths to make the 750's DISTINCTIVELY DIFFERENT from the 745's

Those rims remind me of the early 99/00/01 325ci rims, UGLY and bigger...

Yes, it's just facelifted, uglyrimified, and the engine has 360hp instead of 325, and the 438hp V-12 stayed the same in the 760...

Did they facelift the 760's too? It would make sense that they did.

And I beleive that's not a REAL 750, it's actually a 748 with 4.8 liter V8. They badge the car 750 just because it sounds better

Same is true for the 545 and 645 - really only 4.4 liters - Wonder where the 550 is as expected? I haven't heard anything about a 650i, why would they make one engine for one car, inconsistant not like BMW at all.

This was a complete 7 series line facelift, I posted these a while ago.

Same interior

They finally put the frige in the back seat - the Audi A8 has had this option for like 5 years now.

Back to the Bond Days - Fav 7er - the 750iL

Actually the new 360hp 4.8 engine will be used in the 750i and 550i and Im sure there will be a 650i too. The only uncertainty lies with the X5 since it already has a scaled down 4.4i with 315hp instead of 325 probably to push sales of the 355hp 4.8 engine. There is a conflict of interest now since the BMW's new V8 is comparable if not directly derived from the current 4.8 engine... I wonder if they'll leave the X5 engine options alone and as a result sell them with big incentives like they are doing with the e46 now (good way to get rid of the extra 225hp 3.0 engines in stock, which probably explains why BMW has such a high incentive of the 330i), and then release the new X5 in 2007 with the new 255hp 3.0 I6, the 360hp 4.8 V8, and the 500hp V-10 for their flagship model X5... now that would be an SUV to own. The fridge has been optional on the 760Li since it came out. Overall, I think the refresh works well. BMW did a goob of cleaning up the rear by enlarging the trunklights that integrate the brake lights and trunkline better, I think.

But the wheels on the ebay car suck; they're the standard wheels now apparently. I've seen magazine adds with the current 19" star-spoke wheels, and those wheels are still options.

BTW. BMW just updated its site tonight. The 2006 7 series is online now at bmwusa.com.

BMW325i, the 4.8 liter V8 on the new 750 and 550 come directly from the X5 4.8is - it is the same motor. BMW just used the X5 to first introduce it.
That makes sense now and they sacrificed 9ft-lbs of torque to boost it another 5hp from 355 to 360...

So what happens to their 315hp V8, they're leaving it in the 6 series and X5 ?

Good question. I think BMW will give the 6-series a face lift or some kind of minor update and give it the new 4.8 liter V8. As for the X5, I think it will ride out with the 4.4 liter V8 until they release the redesign, which will probably have the 4.8 liter V8.
BMW is slowly phaising out the 4.4 liter V8 because it is an older motor. The new 4.8 delivers better power, great fuel economy, and superb reliability (something the 4.4 V8 was lacking 10 years ago).
