Black wheels on a Z8??

Just saw this today! Normally black wheels do absolutley nothing for me....but for some reason I think these look really hot.

Do you guys like them? Can anyone tell me who makes them, the model # and/or name. Thanks!

Those look GREAT! They look like a BBS wheel and have a strange resemblence to a Hockenhiemer. Not sure though, maybe some else can tell. But I do like them!

Found the wheels. They are HRE wheels. They are the 540 series. I think they are awesome.

Black on black is one of the nicest combo there is.

Black wheels sometimes look cheap to me (usually on ricer cars lol), but they look awesome on that black Z8! I think the chrome rim with the black spokes is what does the trick. perfectly compliments the chrome gills, grille trim etc.

Oh no Emil....I would never on my car. If we had a "regular" Z8, I would def. consider it, but since we have an Alpina...I think it would be sacreligious or illegal to trade factory Alpina rims for black aftermarket wheels . No fear ya'll....our Z8 is keeping her original shoes

I totally agree Kirby. I always associate black wheels with cheap rice cars or ghetto Porsches and Bentleys. You hit the head on the nail...it is the chrome on the wheels that soooo compliment the car's chrome accents and design.

I like the look. Any black wheels always need to have a polished lip/ring or it just don't look right. I love those HRE's on that "regular Z8". Looks great....

P.S. Yes, keep you Alpina stock. You know how I feel about that...

I agree with Scott and Kirby in that black wheels look good with the chrome/polished lip. But at the same time I think the contrasting colors is what hurts the class of the vehicle, in my eyes. It ends up being too showy...I had no problem with a set of wheels like that on my Jetta or on most vehicles, but not a Z8!

I saw a black Brabus CLK at the gas station the other day and the first thing that caught my eye were the black Brabus wheels. Unusual but I liked them. The black wheels were a really nice effect when the car was in motion.

Normally I see black cars with shiny chrome wheels and they really turn me off, so these black wheels were a nice change for me.
