I just wish I could believe these numbers. No way a G35 Coupe is worth 49% after 5 years. My G35C lease is based on a 50-51% residual value after 3 years. The BMW 3-series is worth 60-65% after 3 years, for comparison. I don't think the numbers are realistic, but they have the right idea.
BMW, Honda, and Mercedes have very strong resale value. But there is no way that somebody is going to pay $56,900 for a 5-year-old used Benz (even if it is an AMG).
