Made for a miserable friday morning here in Pittsburgh.

up a slight hill, a slight bend on the highway, my back end flew out and i headed right for the center median. Bounced off of that, turned around headed across 3 lanes (during rush hour) as i headed for the guide rail one car smacked into my front passenger wheel and then i hit the guide rail pretty hard.

I am so lucky everyone else was able to avoid me. no one was hurt (though my back was stiff that day) Obviously it was my fault. I'm just so thankfull a truck wasn't plowing down the road at that time.

Yes i'm an idiot by having bad tires so please spare me the insults. Hopefully someone else can learn from my bad judgement. Carefull out there guys!

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

now i'll be looking for a 328is i think.

Have a safe day!

It is always hard to predict the road condition in the rain. Don't blame yourself. Glad that you are not hurt.

Hey Michael happy you are OK. Good luck finding the 328is just make sure its tires have tread on them. [;)]

The E30's are known for being tail happy. They just look for reasons to come around on you....

hehe my next car will always have good tread on it. i sure learned from that one.

Unfortunately, it is almost definitely totalled... thinking of buying it back and parting it. It had all of the most coveted e30 parts. If there is interest, i posted in the classifieds to see.

thank you all for the kind words!

Thanks Pete,

After 2 long weeks of looking everywhere for a 328 at a decent price i finally got my hands on one. My wife and I drove down to northern Virginia to see (and buy) this:

The previous owner was unbelievably nice and hospitable and gave me a great deal. 94500 miles... I figure it will last a couple more!

So far I love the car, just trying to figure out if i like the clear corners... Any thoughts?

Looking forward to seeing what it can do on the autoX course!

Thanks again all!

Wow that looks like an awesome find Mike!

Can't make a proper judgement because the pics are pretty small but that E36 looks pretty damn straight to me; especially the interior. I rather like the clear indicator lenses, but the standard orange ones look nice too. You can't lose either way I think.

Hope it goes well autocrossing, though you'll be lugging a fair bit more weight around than you were in the E30! I don't think the 328i has an LSD either, does it? Could make things a little snatchy round the turns [ohcrap]

Overall though, looks like you've found a mint example. Post more pics and details soon!

haha ok ok i finally signed up on photobucket.... Here are the bigger pics:

Hopefully i'll get around to getting more pic later... these are actually the ones he sent me that he took the day before i bought it.

yeah its gonna be heavier than the e30 i am pretty sure it doesn't have LSD, just traction control (i doubt i'll use TC on the course but i'll probably try both)... i tried hard to find another e30 but they are so stinking rare. (at least the one i had) insurance paid for half of this one so i'm pretty happy. I seems like he really took care of it, so far everything works.

I'll probably stick with the clears and really yellow bulbs for a while. They are growing on me quite a bit...

thanks again!
