The front is weird, but can definitely grow on me. I like the the rest of the car and I like the fact that it's the only luxury sedan with an F1 transmission instead of just a standard automatic.

The new m5 kind of counts, doesn't it?

Kind of. I see the Maserati more in the class of the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series, and the Mercedes S-Class. I see the M5 in the class of the Audi A6, Mercedes E-Class, Cadillac STS, etc. The M5 is a step up in performance compared to these other vehicles so more accurately it would be M5 vs STS-V vs E55 AMG vs RS6 etc. The Maserati seems to compete with the S500, 745Li, Audi A8 L and seems to be the sportiest of the bunch.

Ah yes good point. Maserati's aren't really popular around this area. I've seen them around NYC and I think they are unique good looking cars.

You guys are so critcal..........I saw that beast yesterday and I thought its presence commanded respect. I do see the buick aspect though (why did you have to ruin it for me???hahaha). I do believe that price wise, this Maserati is a bit more pricey that the German top three mentioned in this thread. It starts at 95k, I must say that the pics really do this car and injustice.
