BACK AGAIN e30 m3 s52 update 04-17-05 ENGINE IN!!

Well after a big break in the action from going to mexico, I finally wrestled the s52 into place today, Just need to add a tranny crossmember and its physically done, now time for wiring and that should wrap this project up!!

Looks awesome dude. What expectations do you have from the new motor and the car in terms of the drive?

Should be good, Im optomisticly hoping for arounde 300hp crank, I was putting 220ish crank in my s14, It should be noticibly faster, I dropped the a/c to help even the weight out hopefully it wont feel too very front heavy, putting a 96 m3 steering rack in so it will be a bit tighter feelin, if its sloppy Im thinking about a CF hood to help the front weight issue, maybe even some 8's in the back seat, Rear seat is going, and im going to put a roll bar in, Im so used to my m20 im sure this thing is going to feel nuts no matter how bad it may run (hopefully not), I cant wait to get her going!!

Heres a short list of whats being done...

s52 (obviously)
OBDI Conversion (m50 manifold again obviously)
Turner Chip
96 m3 steering rack
24lb Injectors
Dropped A/C
Euro HFM
Swapping to a 3.73 diff (vs. the 4.10 which would be undriveable)

Well I have to buy another $1200 in parts and my bank statement says i have .... $1.25 .... hrmm... Better settle with insurence quick lol

you man, that obd1 conversion is more than just the manifold you know that right?

it goes...
intake manifold
wiring harness
fuel rail
ping sensor
crank sensor
cam sensor

i think that is it, but feel like i'm leaving something out

Yeah I know, OBDI is a big bitch, blunt has a 325, not a m3, im the only s52 e30 m3 in MN i know of

I said m50 manifold because most people dont know what OBDI conversion is and they keep telling me to add a m50 manifold like 3 seconds after I tell them in doing obdi..... soooo obviously im using the m50 manifold

This post was on our local BMW CCA website. I thought it interesting. I do not know this person and know nothing about the car, but it sounds cool and not a bad price! This is old so I am sure it is sold or no longer at this price? But than again if he is hurting and it is still there...who knows?
