audio of iDrive on 7-series on NPR

I've read a lot about the iDrive system in many car magazine reviews. However, this is the first time I've actually heard it. Listening to this review (even though it's from 2002) makes me think it would be a nightmare. The last thing I want to deal with when in a car is an automated phone system-like device.

since then there have been upgraded and new software comes out every year, you have to understand additionally, is that in 2002 this was totally new software, now the software is alot more upgraded and if u get a 2002 you can get upgraded software i believe
