A concept is a concept is a concept - or is it? Audi says its new Shooting Brake Concept is just that, but the ream of press information issued for the Tokyo debutante seems overly extensive for a mere concept. The Shooting Brake Concept takes the TT's front-end styling in a new direction, with flared fenders following into a nose with the newly-sculpted Audi grille prominently featured up front. Under the hood of the hatchback, a 3.2-liter Audi FSI V-6 with 250 hp, a six-speed gearbox, and quattro all-wheel drive push the concept, Audi says, to about 60 mph in 6.0 seconds, and on to a top speed of about 150 mph. An adaptive suspension and LED lighting are integrated into the Shooting Brake, and the 19-inch wheels conceal ceramic brakes. Inside, the concept wears aluminum trim on the restyled dash, and a new navigation system integrates 3D functionality into the Audi MMI audio/navi/climate control interface.

Looks startlingly like the Z3 coupe, which in my carefully considered, objective, and unbiased opinion is the sexiest car on the road.

Dare to be different. Or copy BMW five years later... whichever works best.

Roadster is a 2 seater, coupe is a 4 seater. Well, it has 4 seats, not sure anyone with legs can use the back seat.
Hehe, tell that to the marketing department at Audi. They and many other manufacturers choose to redefine words to suit their marketing needs. If you look at their website, they call this car a Roadster and a Coupe on the same page - they want it both ways. Even they can't decide (see below).

Per the definition below it is a coupe, but Audi calls it a roadster. Either way, I consider it a two seater, the back seat in the thing barely big enough to seat a Cabbage Patch Doll!

According to Webster:
Roadster - An automobile with an open body that seats two and has a folding fabric top and a luggage compartment in the rear.

Coupe - a 2-door automobile often seating only two persons; also : one with a tight-spaced rear seat

Which is it, Audi???

I agree with webster... audi tt weighs too much to be a real roadster. They are nice cars but look almost like the man version of the VW beetle.

Ok, regardless of Audi's website screwups... the Shooting Brake seats 4:

"Comfortably spacious

The Audi Shooting Brake Concept sets new standards in the compact sports vehicle segment in offering ample space for all occupants. Thanks to the special shape of the tail end, there is both more headroom for rear passengers and more space in the luggage compartment. The wide opening angle of the rear doors and the electric easy entry function for the front seats provide easy access to the rear seats. There is an astonishing amount of knee room at the rear thanks to the wheelbase of 2.47 m.

The luggage compartment of the Audi Shooting Brake Concept is quite sufficient even for substantial transport requirements, providing a capacity of 255 litres with the rear seat back upright and as much as 730 litres with the seat back folded down."

The TT is based on the New Beetle platform, and Audi's cars are always "too heavy." Quattro AWD adds 250-300lbs alone as well as giving more work for the enigne, but it helps the handling out so much. You do not really feel the weight of the TT Roadster or the Coupe, and they are one of the most pleasing cars to drive under $50K.
