I prefer no gloves. I get a better feel for my car with my bare hands. I have tried BMW gloves, as well as many others and they have all been good quality, I just prefer the feel of the leather steering wheel in my hand.

I bought some and the leather quality was fine, but the emblem fell off. Given that I only wear them in the winter (a steering wheel at –5 is not fun to hold), the temperature differences may have played a part in that. I think driving gloves offer more grip because the eliminate the effects of oil and moisture on your hands, but everyday driving “shouldn’t” offer the opportunity to drive at the extremes of them being a necessity.

Heated steering wheel eliminates the need for any kind of gloves, but it's stupid that BMW only offers it on certain cars and on those certain cars, you can't get the Sport Package + Heated Steering Wheel. [mad]

My car has heated nothing, so everyone stop whining. Fortunately I get full blast heat about 2 - 3 minutes after turning on the car, and I have YET to see another one do that. [headbang]

Truth be known that on all the old cars that I have driven (no offense) the heaters work like nothing I've ever seen before, extreme heat is what they give out 2-3 min in. Thats all fine and dandy until your baking hot [hihi]
