Sorry, this was my original question (windowing tinting tpc kinda touched on this)

So anyway...does anyone have any suggestions for solvents, glass filler etc for very small cracks on a windshield?

Thanks, sorry again for similar posts.

Glass filler etc is really design to keep the cracks from expanding. If this is really bothering you, your best bet is to replace the entire windshield. Some insurance companies will actually cover this repair.

^Really, I'll look into that.

By the way Tom, since you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about this, do you recommend getting a replacement windshield at the BMW dealership or an auto-body shop. My friend had a rear panel windshield replaced at the dealer, and the glass itself cost him about $100, but the labor cost a wopping $600 (I'm still astounded at that figure)

Do you have any thoughts. I live in Los Angeles so I'm sure there must be many well regarded auto-shops, I'm just not sure how I could about finding a good one.

thanks

Lets assume I don't want to destroy my windshield for insurance.

Any recommendations for finding reputable windshield repair shops online.
