Yeah, I am ordering a 2005 X3 this afternoon....so at least I will still be in the BMW arena. I am trying to be a little more spend thifty this time around. I am going to get the 2.5l engine and not all the options possible like I had on the Bangle Mobile. Just some basic ammenities like wood, and xenons and the Harmon Kardon. It is going to be the Flamenco Red with Black interior. I think it should look pretty nice.

So.... what does this tell us? Carfax is not all that accurate.
And carfax came up clean! There was definitely a police report because i have it. I reported it to my insurance. I didn't get any money for it. I had it fixed out of pocket. The frame was bent and straightened. They replaced rear subframe, axles, diff, extensive bodywork. Drives amazingly but carfax????

I have no idea if i could sue... can i? This is what happened: I heard loud screeches and crashes and a loud car alarm in my sleep. I then realized these were real and woke up. Later a horn started blaring. I ran down to the street and saw 4 cars damaged pretty bad. No one was in any of them. THere was a grand am in the middle of the street. Air bag blown and looked like they were resting on the steering wheel (cause thier horn was going off). My car destroyed, car parked in front of mine destoyed and truck in front of it damaged in the rear pretty good. Grand am spun out at some point, no idea how cars across this skinny street weren't damaged.
Anyway the people in the car ran away. Later the "sister of the driver" returned. No idea who's car it was. Car not insured.
who do i go after? No idea. Owner of car has NO money. They JUST bought the now totalled car. I just counted it as a loss..... (I definitely don't have money to throw around but oh well i guess, my dad helped me out to get it fixed at the time thank goodness. I'm on my own now.)

I find it funny how my old 325i was traded in with about 8584 miles on it back in 6/2004 yet for some reason the odometer was rolled back (or it was reported wrong) in carfax records to 5781 roughly 3 months later in 9/2004... Also the first two service dates dont matchup. Carfax apparently isn't very accurate with this stuff, I wonder if someone running that report would gain anything except the fact that all these service dates indicate a "stay away".
