Any Harm in Leaving the Valve Cover Cover Off?

I'm going to be taking my valve cover off this week to sand and repaint it. I am thinking of painting it black and I think it would really look cool to be left exposed in my engine bay without the plastic BMW cover over top. I'm really not sure how I'll want it, but is there any harm in leaving the ignition coils exposed?

I wouldn't think so. The cover doesn't do much except maybe protect the coils from shooting coolant in an over heating situation getting out of hand. On the other hand, they did put some sort of a sealer around the cover's edges so ... You could of course call up a know nothing dealer and get the answer from them.

i would like to know if the valve cover is needed cause i would prefer to have my engine bay showing also

if its just the coil cover it will be fine its just for looks thing under there tend to scare normal foke

i have a 98 e36 woulkd it be the same as pink floyds bmw even thoguh his is a 92
