Alpine MP3 changer is SLOW!

I just installed the Alpine CHA-S634 changer in my '04 325Ci. It works, but it takes FOREVER to respond to button presses. We're talking 5+ seconds to change to the next track.

Is this normal for the Soundgate adapter I used, or is there some other issue?

Its normal. I use the Blitzsafe and I also noticed slow response. I guess its the price you pay to listen to MP3 CDs.

Could you tell me if the Alpine CHA-S634 send CD-TEXT to the head unit? If so, do you know if you have the Alpine or Blaupunkt head unit? Also, do you think it is worth getting this CD changer considering how slow it is? Is it faster when it plays normal CDs?? Thanks in advance for all of you help!!!
