I like it, but this needs to be a BMW standard offering if they want to sell Z4s. My soapbox - the Z4 is becoming mid-field player at best. With the new SLK, the new Boxster, the C6 vette, and all the other roadsters with 300+ hp out there, a 225 - 250 hp BMW roadster is an insult.

yeah, it could use more power, but it's like $10,000 cheaper than all those competitors. I just priced out a SLK350 for fun. $59,000+

I completely agree. 300hp is more along the lines of where a standard Z4 should be.

That's OK. Build an M Roadster for $59K with a 350 hp I6 or a 400 hp V8.

Exactly. With an M Roadster at that price, it wouldn't be underpowered.

Just drove my brothers z4 2.5 and it felt very quick indeed, loved it. An M engine would just be killer.
