I see a few BMWs offerred from private sellers that look like they have ten years of brake dust permanently bonded to the insides of the Alloy Rims. I've kneeled down and tried to scratch this black crud off with my fingernail, but it seems to be on there real good; nail scratching doesn't touch it.
Aside from the 'obvious' solution of just not buying that particular car, How would I polish a stock alloy wheel of the type shown below in the picture/link? (The pic is a clean rim; the dirty ones are too "extreme" and would cause some to pass out if I posted one)
1) Take it to a "professional?" (If so, who would even do this?)
2) Can I use some sort of Dremel Tool attachment?
3) Use a tooth brush (perhaps the wife's)?
4) Rub with a commercial cleaner/polish till my fingers are worn down to stubs? (If so, what products?)
