Has anyone heard of an option (not FM modulated) for adding Sirius satellite radio to the HK system in an 03 325Ci? I would like to avoid having multiple units in the car if possible.

as for the sirus, ask BMW. call a dealer or something, i cant answer that one.

painting the antenna would probably cause a little loss, but satelite signal is pretty strong, and its recieving, so i'd assume it'd be ok. but there might be a little loss, especially in already weak signal areas.

I asked BMW, but their solution was to replace the entire head unit for an astronomical cost, but only offered XM. I much prefer Sirius.

well, then you'll have to go aftermarket unit for your idea then. let me know if you need help choosing one if thats what you decide.

head on over to caraudiocentral.net - i am a long time member there with the same user name. we just moved from EZ Board, to our own site with vB, we opened it fresh yesterday...lots of reliable people there to ask questions. also, if you want any more ideas for other things with your stereo, there are some long time stereo enthusists that have seen a lot over the years...a few more experienced than I.

Also check circlebmw.com. They have an online parts list and a hyperlink with infomation about Sirius radios for BMW cars. If you don't find the parts information you are looking for, their phone number is listed - I found them very knowlegable and helpful when I spoke to them. Goog Luck!
