The new Acura RDX small sport utility to be built this summer in Marysville will feature all-wheel drive and a 240 HP, turbocharged, 2.3-liter four-cylinder.
The RDX is aimed at competitors such as the BMW X3 but will also attempt to attract car owners who want a sport utility but don't want to give up sporty performance and handling, according to Acura.
The engine will be built in Anna, Ohio. It is the first time Honda has used a turbocharged (or supercharged) engine in a car in the United States.
The RDX is the second Acura model to be built in Ohio. The Marysville plant also builds the Acura TL, as well as the Honda Accord.

Plant is close to Ohio Tech College - one of the finest private automotive-technology college, which also offers one of the few BMW training programs in the country, and last year added the PowerSport Institute, the third motorcycle-technician training facility in the nation.
