ABS, Traction, and Handbrake Lights?!?!?!

So I'll be driving (2000 323i) and my ABS light will turn on for a couple of seconds then turn off, then after about 1-2 seconds, the ABS, traction, and handbrake lights turn on. (I was hoping it was just the light, but the ABS and traction actually don't work when the lights turn on.) Does this sound familiar to anyone? BMW want $117 for a check-up, so i thought I'd ask here first. Thanks.

Your ABS, Traction Control and Brake Module is on the fritz. A friend of mines Corvette just had the same problem... I know I know... it is not a Bimmer, but the modules that go in cars pretty much control the same items. His new module cost 1300.00.
