"AM/FM Stereo, Cassette" Where? The dash is bare! "Nappa leather or cloth seating" huh? one or the other? Why would a M3 "Lightweight" have air conditioning? Probably a stickered up M3. Too good to be true isn't it?
The first thing to do when someone buys it is to remove the ugly "McKenna" stickers from all over it. I don't know about this one... has anyone done a Carfax on it (6 records found)? Could something like that have been sitting for almost 12 years?

It is real, it has been a show piece at McKenna BMW for years, this from a member of the M3 Lightweight Registry, "This is one of the first LTWs to land in the US. It has sat in the showroom of McKenna BMW since 1995, IIRC, as a display piece. I guess they've finally decided to move it. Actually, I was unaware of the existence of this particular car until a few members of Alex Job Racing told me about it (AJR prepares/supports cars for McKenna Porsche's ALMS efforts)."

They did not come with stereos, but did have speakers and grilles in the door panels, most likely some salesman took the information out of an M3 description. Same for the Nappa leather cloth comment, directly out of a generic M3 description.

Fair enough. Damn. Damn. That is very cool:)

So what would be the negatives of this car. Needs new tires wouldn't it? Coolant, and all fluids would need to be changed? Water hoses and belts must need replacing? Gasoline... was it drained? Were all the fluids drained?

What a beauty, I am sure the dealer kept the car in tip-top shape. Even if offered at around 50 g's, in the long run that would be a steal. This car's price will continue to escalate as the years go up especially if the miles stay low.

The miles on the car are ridiculous. I would love to have this car. BMW of North America should by this car. It really is a museum quality automobile….
