Wow. Simply amazing. I think I have new respect for Hyundai...and the guy who came up with the idea to put two engines in one. If only they did it in the newer body style. I don't much like this body style, but still one hell of a car. Could you imagine pulling up to one like that at a stop light?

Thanks for sharing!

I saw an article in Motor Trend the other day where FOrd (just to show they could) built a 500Hp Ford Focus that went head-to-head with a Lambo...

These guys are way too bored.

I saw that article, that was a racing Focus with a big V8 under the hood.

That Hyundai is amazing, but I hate the idea of TWO engines and the front engine powering the front wheels and the rear engine powering the rear wheels. Seems so stupid....why didn't they just put in a 600hp race engine in the front and make it AWD?
Two engines = twice the maintenance and twice the amount of shit that can go wrong.
But it's crazy how it does the 1/4 mile in 10.96 seconds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a Subaru or Suzuki (some Japanese brand starting with S) that had a two engine race car. It used to run the Pikes Peak race. Crazy car. When it's a race car, I don't think they worry about the maintenance too much.

Actually I want to know why a powerful hyundai is a big deal? They use mitsubishi engines -- and actually the one in the tiburon is a shitted-down version of the one in the 3000GT's/Stealths -- which people mod to easily over 600 hp.

Twin-engine setup is quite rare. A fast Hyundai is also quite rare.

Yes but I'm saying... he could've gotten 600 hp out of ONE engine -- though he'd have to do a TOOON of work to it because, stock, those engines won't last.

600 hp's of rice...... Isn't Hyundai a Korean Company? I still have a VERY difficult time with why people take economy cars and try to turn them into gravity stricken rocket ships.

i'm DLing the video but i think this is the black one from SCC a few years ago
the rear windshield is a solid black lexan piece and both engines run on methanol
he has 2 transmissions so he put 1 in reverse and the other in drive. this guy
was a serious street racer, but word spread too far and he couldn't make any
more money so he went public with his creation.
