4th Gen Ipods?

Hi all, has anyone had any problems with the 4th Generation ipods with the ipod adapter? I just bought a new 330 with the adapter installed and it's not working. Trying to determine if it's the ipod itself or something wrong with the install.

It's probably not your iPod. You plugged it into the adapter, and then did you set the stereo to proper mode?

what problems.
I just had my BMW adapter installed.. and it's using an IPOD photo 40 gig
the IPOD displays BMW when it's plugged in.. and I can skip tracks and see the playlists on the radio.. but no Sound.. I've confirmed I have the latest firmware which for this unit is 1.0 for Ipod photo.. I can hear the Ipod skipping tracks and such when I control it from the BMW radio.. I just get no audio at all.

Do you think my installed screwed up?

I bought my 330xi this week, 'iPoded my BMW', and can report successful use of a 40GB iPod Photo. mazachan - where did you get the unit installed? I had mine put in at Perillo for what its worth.

Other posters have it right - if you love your iPod, you'll love it even more in your BMW - beats the heck out of a CD changer and the sound quality is far superior to those wireless gizmos that feed off of your antenna + FM frequency 88.3. But I do hope they aim a bit higher with the interface next go-round, and offer a bit more flexibility with selecting tracks.
