Yup, you guessed it, Bangle is one of them. Text from Motor Trend Feb 2005:

#5 Burhard Goeschel
BMW AG Management board member in charge of development and purchasing

Don't blame Bangle, blame this guy

Influence on: All current BMWs. He's the man who backed Chris Bangle's controversiial design direction to the hilt and championed the development of iDrive, active steering and the new entry-level 1 series.
He says: "We have to be innovative at BMW. That's our brand, what we stand for."
We say: He's on a mission to transform BMW. But is the rest of the world ready for it?
Service Bulletin: The 7 Series has been facelifted already.
The Road Ahead: S-BEND. He's running a bold strategy. But it's also a risky one.

#24 Chris Bangle
BMW AG Chief of Design

Love it or hate it, you can't ignore his work

Influence on: The complete reinvention of BMW's house style.
Bet you didn't know: He once planned to be a Methodist minister.
The Road Ahead: S-BEND. He may turn out to be the most influential car designer of the 21st century. Then again...

#33 Adrian Van Hooydonk
BMW Group DesignworkUSA president

Chris Bangle's protege. Tough act to follow.

Influence on: The new Mini Cooper, and BMW's controversial 6 and 7 Series.
He says: "The goal for the 7 was to push the boundaries as far as we could."
We say: With S-Class so dominant, BMW really had nothing to lose by going radical with the 7.
The Road Ahead: S-BEND. He's manage to escape the vitriol Bangle has suffered. So far.

It's depressing that so much power can be gained from so much stupidity. I'm so sick of Chris Bangle that I don't know what else to say except for the fact that I think he's a knob-jockey.
