The 2009 Z4 (E89) will get a V8 for the ///M, and the decision has been made that the 2006 Z4M will get the I6, the new ///M V8 will not fit.

Possible engine options for the E89:
2.0 4 cylinder, 185 HP
2.5 I6, 231 HP
3.0 I6javascript:// Turbo 321 HP
4.0 V8 M Motor, 449 HP

And it may get a folding hardtop.

Darn, I was thinking Z4M in 2007, now I will have to think again.

I like the color of the convertible top. I am actually a huge fan of the current Z4's styling, but not so much of this one. The grill looks rediculous, it looks as if someone photoshopped BMW kidneys from one car and stamped them into the front of this one. There is no flow at all...

It looks Mazda miata to me, and then theres 645i wheels, and some weird hybrid of the current Z4 design. I vote fake on this one...

Better front and rear. This is the direction the Z4 should have had all along. It would have had a better fan base if BMW had given the roadster what a roadster needs to begin with; power....

Yikes, don't use open fog lamps! And the headlights look terrible! This isn't a real picture, look at the oldstyle handles, they are fazing those out. PHOTOSHOP!

I think they should rebadge the car with this....

Those are sport pac 6 series wheels too, BMW has never reused wheels, they always create new wheels to fit the proper design of the car, have they ever released shots of a car, 4 years ahead! This isn't real.

looks like mating of z4 and mazda miata in the front, and 6er's ass got shrunk down to fit the back end.

i wonder if the z4 was put in with the new even number coupes direction bmw was heading until they killed off the 4er

nope, autobild is not really a good source. they belong to a daily newspaper "bild". that is like the british sun. Completly filled with big bold headlines, blood spilling stories about a man murdering aliens and s**t like that. absolutely desaster in terms of journalism and reliability. what else can you expect from their automotive daughter than being this fantasy judged as well?

of course these pics are photoshops. heck, that´s 2009. do you really think there was an erlkönig on the streets already today? if they have build a prototype by now they would have made really good progress now.

guys, just a fanatsy, perhaps of how some wanna-be-mole at bmw and wanna-be-hero at autobild want it to look like in 2009.

Is AutoBild really THAT bad?? The info they had on the E90 and the X3 when they were first rumored was fairly accurate.
