Looks like they are going to compete with Hummer??!!?!?!?!?!

Lest you think it's not an X5, look at the inset of a 2004 X5 I added. Look at the headlights.

Actually, it's a 2006 X5 Mule - a chassis/engine test vehicle, without a real body.

What makes me crack up about this picture is that you have an image of some boxy military-looking vehicle, and alll of a sudden BAM: X5 headlights. Actually...it would be kinda hot if we had US troops storming the battle field with vehicles equipped with angel eyes.

Guys. thats' not the new design!! Did you read what he said?

That's just a VERY good disguise!!! That 'body' will literally come off of the car when they are ready to reveal it.

It is just a MULE....I hope Bangle does get his dirty little mits on the X5. All of Bangles new designs have completely revived the BMW market. I know most of y'all don't care for his designs much...but he is the future of the company and he is making mad cash for the company....so I say just accept and learn to like the Bangled BMW's.

The problem is that Bangle's designs take some "getting used to". Never had to be that way with BMW, before. You saw their newest car in an add one day and your jaw would just drop. Now it's like, "Uhhh........[15 minute break]........okaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy................yeah it looks kinda cool...............yeah................i'll just keep telling myself that..............."

I agree. When Aston Martin released the Vanquish (which is sex on wheels) and the DB9 everybody immediately loved the looks. The Bangle BMWs are different. I don't see why i should have to try and make up my mind whether i like the looks or not.

ya as other say it takes some getting used to then you kinda get used to them and learn to like them, like with the new 5, when i saw the pics i didn't like it that much, but when i saw it in person, i thought it was awesome, i know some people here like the classics designs, but i think BMW had to change their designs in order to attract more business and to keep on the cutting edge...
