I happen to like the car and it's predecessors. I think it looks good except for the large wing in the back. Those cars are fast as hell too.

A guy at my workplace has one (an 05 model) and I have driven it. They do have a bit of turbo lag, but once it kicks in it is a rocket. You can manually or auto set the weight distribution. He wants me to race him all the time, but I don't race on the streets. He also has a heavily modded Civic Si, wich he takes to the drag strip and does runs with.

I like the new model even the front end but that is my opinion. The do need a smaller spoiler in the rear though....

Maybe you have hit on something - Automatic weight distribution. As you corner, weight is automatically transferred to the inside tires to keep traction equal on all four tires!!! Woohooo!!!

=( from one of the biggest subaru fans, the front end of this car is a complete disaster. I really liked the spyshot mag pic of what it shouldve looked like, but this is just plain horrible.

I can see that they are just making a "more aggressive legacy" with this look, but honestly it just looks like a mishmash of the last E36 330Ci headlamps, combined with a touch of SAAB and a touch of Lancer. Its like they took a little bit of all their main rivals, added a touch of their parter, and came up with the ugliest combination in the pot.

Sad to say, but it really is quite ugly from the front, the grille i dont mind too much, its not too bad. but those lights.... sigh.... wake up subaru. I think it will go through a facelift 1/3 way into its life... just like the current impreza did.
