1999 BMW 540i

I am looking at getting a '99 540i used of course - just as a "play"car...

- Auto (damn)
- White w tan int
- 72,000 miles
- Fully loaded
- etc. etc.
- Asking $15,000 av retail about $23,000 for this area.

My question--how badly is this going to deperciate in 6 months etc. and in general --I know this was a great car but; problems I might have?

Edmunds, KBB, and Nada guides don't estimate depri. Can anybody help.

It should not go down much in value in the next six months, most devaluation occurs in the first couple of years. The 540i is a good solid car.

yup first year is prolly the worst hit. within the first 3 or 4 years, the car loses half the value. i still love the e39 540i. it really was the first bimmer that i fell in love with. dubbed the fastest production sedan at the time of inception.
