I need help! I an upgrading my daughters 735 during her first semester in college.
I am replacing the front suspension with Bilstein HD, new supports, control arms and bushing (750 upgrade), etc. Since the car has self leveling rear, other than replacing the shocks ($1100 -- not!) or replacing with regular shocks ($1700 for transfermation -- not!), what do I need or can do? Someone suggested replace the rear accumulators, but I am not sure what they are or do. Suggestions and advice, PLEASE. The car goes in for painting and seat repair in November and I wanted the upgrades completed before then. Anyother suggestion to upgrading her car.

Thanks,

Cornerspeed

You have a couple of options you can remove the self leveling system (LAD) and plug the lines or you can rebuild it. If the accumulators are bad you will have a bouncy or stiff ride ride. Check out this web page (look under suspension and than accumulator) for information on the LAD system. The acccumulators cost about $140.00 each and if that is all you need it is not too bad. However yes the LAD shocks are about $450.00 each.

By the way, welcome to the board!

Big Daddy,

That was great. The article answered my questions and addressed the procedures for replacement. Replies like this make me glad I joined.
