03' 745 LI Warranty Question

During my "keys locked in trunk" adventure I also found out that my car is still under warranty. I have 41k miles - earlier I asked this board about the warranty on this model and someone replied 50k miles with a possibility of the warranty going to 100k mi,

How do I find out which? by VIN#? Does BMW have this info in their system?

I also learned that I may have both service and maintainence - would this info also be in the system?

The parts mgr at BMW Nashville was very nice when ordering my new key and gave me the name of his #1 guy in service - I called and the service guy and he's been slow in responding.

Is there a way for me to check on my warranty info myself?

On your 03, both your bumper to bumper and maintenance warranties run 50,000 mi/4 years. You can either pay to have it extended or, if your car was a Certified Pre-Owned, it would have a warranty of 6yrs/100,000 mi.

Just call up a dealer, give them your VIN# and they can tell you what the warranty is. To the exact day. I've seen it on their computer screens and if you get any service done, it's on the receipt/printout they give you.
